More information on online courses

Online courses are particularly useful to the busy health care practitioner as they are able to take the course at any time and in any place that suits them. All you need is a computer and an internet connection.

There are a rapidly growing number of online educational resources that are easily available to all health professionals. They may be in the form of a simple short tutorial or be as complex as a full degree level course including assessment.

The learning materials that these courses can consist of might be as simple as a set of slides or a short video, or more complex with audio and video presentations. The courses that provide a richer learning experience include interactivity with quizzes and other learning activities such as reflective tasks. Whatever the format, all appropriately selected courses make a valuable contribution to CPD.

We regularly produce such learning materials and make these along with others available through our course listings.

If you would like us to list your course, please contact us.

We are the UK's leading independent provider of online learning materials for the health professions. We work with higher education institutes and independent companies who provide health related courses to assist them in converting their courses into online versions which run alongside or replace their existing face to face sessions.

We work with our sister company Webducate on these projects, where together we are a team with experience of education, clinical practice and e-learning technologies. We aim to ensure that the materials we develop are specific to the course, innovative, interactive and accessible. We incorporate video and audio presentations, quizzes and other tools to enhance learning such as wikis, blogs and reflective activities.

We can develop entire online courses, blended learning courses (a combination of e-learning practices and traditional teaching such as practical sessions) or just put your one off presentation online for you.

If you have an idea for an e-learning project that you would like to discuss with us, please contact us.
